from quantum to qubits

A workshop about quantum physics

21-23 October 2022
Akademie Traunkirchen
Klosterplatz 2
4801 Traunkirchen

Sensors and processors have become smaller and more powerful in recent decades, but there are limits to this development. In recent years, news about new breakthroughs in quantum technology has become more frequent. We hear terms like qubits, superposition and entanglement. With the development of high-powered quantum computers and quantum sensors, quantum physics is gaining more importance. But the laws of quantum mechanics are radically different. Basic research and big tech are trying to build completely new technology based on this. If successful, quantum technologies will change our society in the future.

This workshop will give you an insight into the world of quantum and the possibilities it offers. We invite you on a journey into the world of the very small, where particles behave like waves and vice versa. We try to bring core concepts closer in an intuitive and understandable way.
